A week after I'd watched "The Fundamentals of Caring" on Netflix, I received an email from the CEO of Bluebird Care Camden & Hampstead about creating a video for his business. No need to say I was already pre-sold!
Aside from paying the filming and editing, this was a fairly low budget video production. The hospital we partnered with to raise funds for their cause has let us use their chapel to film, and the "actors" are all volunteers. There was a great amount of red tape around filming in the hospital so that was not an option. Instead, we opted for the beautiful chapel that we found on the hospital grounds.
This is exciting video project is part of an ongoing series for Habitat for Humanity GB. Along with many other Habitat branches, they have sent a team of volunteers in the Philippines to help a large team of local workers on a project to rehabilitate and upgrade makeshift homes into typhoon-resistant homes.
More details and story behind this project coming soon. In the meantime, enjoy the videos !
Filming older people for Re-engage was a great experience: amazing life stories, old school humour and humility, real talk... and I mean zero filter for better or for worse ! I wish we could have focused on an actual series of these, giving a voice to people who are too often isolated. But the pandemic struck soon after we started and everything was put on hold indefinitely.
A super low-budget project also used to validate a proof of concept to create an animated video under £2,000. The comic book approached served us perfectly, creating a unique identity and removing the need for more complex and costly animation.
A world where music and sci-fi collide to create a huge mashup of Star Wars, Guardians and the Galaxy and all the times we played with guitars as kids pretending they were space guns.
This film was used in a nationwide volunteer recruitment campaign online which ran for 18 months. The whole campaign returned an amazing average cost-per-acquisition at about £7.5 (more on that campaign later) and helped recruit thousands of applicants. More than the charity had ever recruited in such a short amount of time. This proved a much more cost-efficient way to recruit than the time- and labour-intensive ways usually employed by the charity.
An energising, powerful trailer for an epic shelter-building and fundraising challenge aimed at housebuilding professionals in the UK. The challenge was organised by Habitat for Humanity Great Britain.
Not just "a" celebration, THE celebration - or so they claim! Here's the promo video I did for Crufts 2014.
What started as a fun standalone project has turned into an ongoing relationship with a property developer to produce videos for their latest luxury homes in Richmond (Barnes to be precise), London.
